Our community embroidery event hosted by Stitch-School proudly sponsored by Aurifilwhere visitors to The Stitch Festival are invited to explore a range of stitches that can help save our environment, by producing less waste and repairing and embellishing what we already have. 

Learn, practice and share  a range of stitches to mend and embroidery stitches to upcycle your garments for a second and longer life. 

Experience stitching together around Stitch-School’s community table, learning together. We’ll be sharing stories of repair and discussing how we can contribute to saving our planet by producing less waste and gaining confident in stitching. We’re delighted to use the new Aurifil 100% Cotton 2 ply 8 wt thread perfect mending thread and the Stitch-School handy pocket book ’50 Embroidery Stitches’ by Melanie Bowles. 

Over the event you are able to contribute to a large sampler which will later go on display and become an educational and inspirational resource for future workshops and generations!
